Today morning I noticed NatsuLion app for iPhone on the app store. NatsuLion is, well, was, a Japanese open source Twitter application for the Macs. It has now been localized into English (still open source after Apple dropped the nasty NDA) and ported to the iPhone.
Upon first use, it gives a clean feel, much like Twinkle, the other well known Twitter application on the iPhone.
It also offers some neat interfaces such ad colorized tweets based on type (d vs @), which really helps reading:
But I am noticing some problems... Peteominantly, lack of local feel (ie: I can't find people near me), and inability to tweet photos... In the end, I went back to Twinkle forthose two features. But with Twinkle slowly becoming a bloatware (recent friend list -- ONLY for their network, nothing for Twitter -- addition, and the to be honest all too useless map featre), I think it won't be long before I jump boat and go over to another client.
